Deer Stalking Short Documentary in Scotland

Well done, congratulations on the award, I really enjoyed it and loved the close in shots and sound from putting the rifle in the stand, close up of the safety, brilliant!

The shot at the end showing the block and tackle hook was the only bit I thought was a little SAW like, would love to see one in woodland and a fly fishing short film?

all the best

Just to let anyone that is interested know, the film has won its first 'best documentary' at the Plymouth Film Festival. Thanks for all the positive comments guys. It will be showing in a number of other festivals both in the UK and around the world over the next 6 months.

I`m not surprised it won best documentary, It was a cracking film, honest and true, just as it should be .. Congratulations on the award

I have seen this a number of times recently..... Fantastic. Well done to the film maker.

As for the numpties on here talking about shot placement..... By looking at a gralloch.... Are you kidding.... Wake up. This is a stunning representation of the real world on the hill.

.... And then go to 2:45 on the video and look at the entry/exit ........ Dicks......

Congratulations on the award!

First time I have watched the film - really enjoyed it - very well filmed.

I think the gralloch shots were well set up and in context.

..... and yes - been there, done that......

Thanks everybody for such a positive response. We are indeed looking at other options for future documentaries and if anyone has a suggestions within deer stalking or otherwise we'd be glad to consider it.

regards
Ryan

Congratulations on a well deserved award, at last a film that shows what we do warts and all, does exactly what it set out to do, needs nothing changing.
