As per the title. Rebarrelled by C&G Firearms less than 200 rounds ago.
More unique than most, as made on a No.4 action,. The pistol magazine integrated into the original 10 round magazine, allows the catching of the ejected empty cases.
Better than the American Marlin barrelled versions, as the barrel in this is a Lothar Walther, and is open sight ready ( the one I have is a micrometer adjustable rear sight), but at present, a HAKKO BDC scope sits on the removable picatinny rail. The BDC settings allow a very quick and fairly precise setting at various points to at least 100 yards, but with a potential to over 300 yards.
This one, by all accounts, was probably built in the early 60's, but as noted, recently refurbished.
Due to its uniqueness, I'm looking at about £3000, though open to offers, possibly a P/X on a small calibre drilling.

Nice rifle. S&B 4x scope I got from you is still going strong on my Enfield.

Do you know whose work that was? Never seen a mag like that before, really cool.

Hi, glad to hear it's going well. It's a mystery who made it, but Chris Goodwin reckons it was made in the early 60's, judging my materials used etc. It actually has copper gauze in the baffels.

I've considered making similar magazines like this for various other De Lisle carbines.....

For 3k you could get a top end De Lisle copy in .45ACP from Barbican Armoury... good luck with the sale!
I know, but this is a top end copy, and it's rarer. It's not got an unnecessary display box, but is more unique than there's, and mine shoots better than my mate's Barbican version.

This looks identical to one I had to rework recently due to constant feeding and chamber issues. Very poor welding and fabrication on the adapted mag resulted in a less than optimal feed angle. They were made, as I understand, a few years ago on no4 actions by an RFD I won't mention so not sure what Chris Goodwin is talking about them being 1960s vintage. That said it shot superbly once the mag and chamber issue was sorted.

Mine is sorted, shoots really well, always catches the empties.
What he's referring to, is he made inquiries in the trade, and mates of his at LEI were intrigued, and said it wasn't one of theirs, nor was it a Peter Sarony creation, and it wasn't the guy ( not sure of his name) that was known for making them up in Scotland.
The quality is first class, this being evidenced by the quality of the machining, and the exact match up of the barrel's baffle tube holes matching up with the outer /, removable baffle assembly.
I'm a welder, and with a few hours, a dremel tool a 45 ACP magazine, and a No.4 magazine, I'm easily capable of making a spare bespoke magazine that will 100% work correctly, but then, mine already does.....
He's specifically on about things like copper gauze being in the outer baffles ( to help soak up sound, obviously) etc, which to him gave him the feel of 60's machining.
Anyway, no De Lisle is new, as such, only an old converted Enfield, so mine, with its lovely new Lothar Walther barrel, is effectively as
'new' as a De Lisle can be, but much rarer due to it being built on a No. 4 action and having the ability to catch empties, along with a longer sight base, and a micrometer adjustable rear sight.
Yes, I know the originals were built on an SMLE action, and are nearer the original, but then an original is extremely rare, and Section 5.
If I don't sell mine, I'll keep it and still enjoy it, however, I have another 45ACP project in mind.
I've shot a fair number of foxes with it.
