Good morning SD

I have sent an action to be turned into either of the following and need your help deciding

1. 22 creedmoor 1:7 twist 18inch long heavy sporter MDT Field / KRG bravo

Inspired by horizon vandal

2. 6.5 creedmoor 26 inch bull in MDT ESS premier elite

Guess it comes down to what you intend to use it for. Given neither look like they are intended for deerstalking (stock choice) and one can only be used on certain deer, is this for varmint and target work?

K

I have 2x Bergara b14 carbons for deer 308 for woodland and 6.5cm for hill stalking.

I don’t have a vermin 80grain rifle at all

I do have a 6.5cm Ruger precision just for range work so I can either keep it or upgrade it

Bear in mind this is more out of enthusiasm rather than necessity

22" barrelled 25 creedmoor
Hoping importers take in decent quantities of all the new high BC .25 offerings from Sierra and Hornady, they've dragged their heels a bit so far, but I know of one 'smith who's doing at least three 25 Creeds shortly.

i think hornady have read the market well again , and although i don't think they give two hoots about the tiny UK market i do think they have accidentally hit upon the new '243' minimum calibre with the new lead free requirements that we are having forced on us

Barrel and bolt fluted plus bolt handle threaded to accept upgraded bolt knob. Through proof. Next stop Cerakoting

JMHO........get a .22-250, more versatile than many realize. In Texas it's used for varmints like prairie dogs and coyote, game up to antelope and deer. So any bullets to choose from, fantastic and easy to reload.

He's already made the right choice and gone for the 22 Creed, as per post 14 above.

Arguably more versatile than the 22-250 if he wants to shoot the heavy bullets

All the bullets that work in the 22-250 will work in the .22 creedmoor.
