Did i get bitten by a tick?

I'm just back home from a few hours clearing some rabbits on one of my perms. As soon as in arrived on site i spent a few minutes laying prone to check zero and as i stood up i felt a bite/sting on the side of my stomach. I lifted my shirt to find a tiny insect on my skin & flicked it off immediately. It was sandy in colour & less than a millimetre long. Its left a 10 mm red ring, small lump and its a little sore when i touch it. The area wher i was has no grazing animals at all, just bunnies. What bit me?

If it was a tick I don't think you'd have felt it.
Post a pic of the bite. That would be helpful.

Chances are if a tick bit you he"d still be hanging about, soaking up some blood.

You'd not feel a tick bite..occasionally you feel them crawling through hairs on legs or arms but I've never felt a bite..and I've had Lymes!! Thankfully caught it at the bullseye stage and a course of antibiotics sorted it.

As above, also unlikely to be a tick on grass grazed short by rabbits (not sure if this was the case for the OP).

Agreed with previous posts. You don't feel the tick biting (penetrating), they become itchy later on. Once they have bitten they won't be brushed off easily.

I would say it was a cut from just about multiple things lying on the ground, sharp stone, twig, even something you were wearing.

From my own experience I did feel a tick bite me as looked as soon as felt it to see the bugger there. But by the description it doesn't sound like a tick
