As explained in this thread I have some of that material that has arrived with me buckshee, I am happy to pass that saving on.
The scales also arrived rough cut to shape, that saves me a lot of time, and we all know that time is
, I'll pass that saving on too.
In the 'shop also I have the four P110BT blanks that I mentioned in that thread above, and six P120 blanks, all SF100, all 3mm, all Rc60/62, all usual Portland Series blanks.
The plan is to grind and finish those blanks and handle them in that same, orange Micarta.
Blade finish will be almost standard stonewashed, I say almost standard as I intend to apply the 'washing over a 320 grit finish, rather than the polished I usually 'wash over, essentially the results are the same, the 320 version slightly duller, again though time and
is saved.
Scrub that, I have decided to stonewash them over a polished/bright finish after all
That P110BT from that thread is one of the knives, look to that for the finish of both handle and blade to expect.
Sheaths will be Kydex, L or R handed, more than likely with a TekLok type belt fitting.
Cost is a little up in the air just now, but my target is £225 per knife, including sheath, that might be a little ambitious but I will say that they won't be any more than £250 for knife including sheath. Expect £250 and you might get a pleasant surprise?
Going rate for similar without the savings mentioned above would be more like £350.
All should be delivered by the end of January.
The first photo below shows a finished P110BT above a P110BT and P120 blank, the second photo is the same but with the blanks rough ground.
