I shoot a lot of rabbits on golf courses and always try to keep my empty brass.
Its a pain with a bolt action as I have to half open the bolt and hand retrieve each one, bit of a faff.
Then I saw some DIY brass catchers on another site and thought I would give it whirl
Ingredients:
coat hanger
mesh bag (in my case a bag that some googles came in)
2 magnets (left over from my shooting sticks build
black tape/black thread
Bend frame, thread through bag where drawstring was, slip in magnets, stitch into place, attach.
have since pulled the bag in at the base so it doesnt stick out as much
Wire frame with extended tips to hold bag open
"borrowed" Goggle Bag
2x 2kg magnets
semi finished bag
bag on rifle
in use (one handed bolt cycling is tricky with the rifle skitting around on the sideboard!)
