Dog anxiety

What's the tests to diagnose dementia in a dog please?
Cheers Jimmy
They don't have a test as such. They diagnosed based on our reported behaviour changes (a couple of which are apparently real give aways). And they do other medical tests to rule our other potential causes (they did bloods & checked organs). They've given her antidepressants & a drug that boosts blood flow to the brain. I don't want to jinx it as obviously still early (only 4 tablets) but she seems lot brighter today, and last night for first time in weeks she slept in one of her beds (as opposed to the kitchen floor) 🤞

Well that's good news then and hopefully she'll keep her pecker up "so to speak" it's a real shame they have to get old.
Jimmy.

IMO dogs take on a heavy load of responsibility when a youngster comes along. unlike the mother in law they don't just tell you what you should be doing they just realize there is a big responsibility in the house and just don't feel up to getting on with the task at hand. Support the dog with some attention and a frequent breaks from the stress
