Dog seeing in his sleep

Just been watching my six year old un-neutered cocker sleep in front of the fire and he was clearly deep dreaming doing that twitching they do. He dribbled and a very small bit of pee came out before it woke him up.

Never noticed it before but recently have noticed some very small wet patches on his blankets which I just put down to a dribbly todger after nipping out for a pee but now think it might be more common.

Not overly keen to rush him to the vets for a myriad of reasons but would obviously do so if this merits it.

Otherwise dogs in good health.

Thanks

IS he peeing normally and has his poo changed shape - gon a bit flatter. Either might indicate prostate problems.
ANtoehjr is that older dogs with a bit of arthritis sometimes don't empty th ebaldder fully because it's too painful to do so, so it might just be too full.
Put a white sheet in teh bed to check for blood

Hi Buchan that’s good to know. He does appear to pee normally isn’t asking to go out more frequently or anything like that. He’s a bit stiff atm the moment from doing cocker stuff like running through thick brush but has not indicated any pain or problems going to the toilet this far.

Just to update this. Monitored all weekend zero issues however yesterday same thing happened after his afternoon walk. Deep sleep legs twitching bit of moaning another small wee then woke himself up. Very random.

Nothing to do with pee ,Looked after my son's 2 dogs while he worked away for 2 weeks one was a old mongrel bitch the other a big lump of a Lab he rescued, In the afternoons around 4.30 the little bitch would get up and start to pull her front paws over her head and keep doing it for several minutes at the time it was funny to see her ,I said she's praying to the east , after a couple of days I mentioned it have you seen Sandy head down and pulling her ears with her paws , No, so when he got back he did notice and took her to a vet ,poor little girl had the onset of a brain tumour she was full of energy and life, then his rescue Lab had a testicular tumour he again full of life and energy, I said to him you done your best for them both good dogs .

Wet dreams , mine did it but since having his bits off a month ago not seen it since

Just the dog being mental excited in his sleep
I wouldn’t worry about it.

My lot have epileptic fits in their sleep.
They actually move along the rug.
