DPT mk1 muzzle break

So after 8 months of what can only be described as perseverance and torture I finally got my mk1 dpt muzzle break. I had been originally told by the uk distributer that dpt didn’t make one for a mk1 but after speaking with the owner of dpt in New Zealand he informed me they did. He made contact with the uk distributior who after replying and not replying more often with updates and only after New Zealand getting involved again I was told it was in the uk. A phone call to dpt in the uk resulted in an exchange of words and discontent from the distributor as he told me that I was important as he had other customers who had placed bigger orders I proceeded to tell him that the cyst service was seriously lacking to which he totally disagreed.
Anyway brake here now and the last DPT product I will ever own

I heard good reports about the muzzle brake end cap. Emailed the UK importer a couple of times in February. Still waiting on a reply from him. Guess I’m not “important” enough either.

Speak to Colin at @remmy700 .

I've just sourced something from DPT via him and the service and communication he provides is first class. I'd go back to Colin for other items - including DPT stuff.

I've previously bought a DPT mod through Rupert at Cornbury, which was seamless too TBH.

I suspect the UK distributor has limited time so priorities RFDs....

It shouldn’t matter realy who you go through the level of cust service shouldn’t realy change

Just to counter this - Had nothing but great service from the U.K. distributor (Bill) absolute gentleman to deal with and Colin (Remmy700) is the same - both have been great with all the DPT dealings from myself and others I know of.

Gixer

Guess as the distributor he can decide how he implements his business model.

May not be how you and I would approach it but that's another issue.

Suggested some people who may help in the future - up to @Sharpshooter-NI if you want to or not .......👍

It does dampen the recoil down sufficiently for me to keep the crosshairs on target and see the impact, 308 Tikka UPR so pretty light and prone to bouncing around with 165gn or heavier bullets. Noise reduction is still reasonable but it does direct some of the high pitched frequencies back to the shooter, so sounds strange at first. I have to use ear plugs but I do now anyway having damaged my hearing using some poorly designed moderators over the years. Much more pleasant than a proper muzzle brake!
