Dream CZ 457 Build

Does the Yo Dave make much difference? I was looking at the Timney Aftermarket drop in triggers but theres a huge price difference in one and a Yo Dave.
There is a comparison video on YT somewhere.

Mine's light, repeatable and creep free. I would only replace the whole trigger if a two stage was available.

Cheers

Hi all. I'm looking for ideas for a CZ 457 build. I'm as much a fan of building and upgrading the guns as I am of shooting them. Next one is going to be a CZ 457 in 22lr.

Base gun is a 457 MTR.

Stock will be changed (Probably to an MDT XRS) but im open to suggestions.

Picatinny will be an Area 419.

Trigger will initially be a Yo Dave Spring kit but maybe eventually a Timney.

Thats where I am at the moment but open to tips
Consider the Vision Chassis

Available in the UK from Spartan Refinishing and they're awesome! I've bought a .223 this year but next year I'm looking to buy a 457 too!

Glass and rings have been sorted.. Next up is an Area 419 Picatinny Rail. Anyone have any sources they would recommend in Europe/UK?

If I got a CZ rail at the right money I'd put one on but theres very little difference in the price of the 2 from what I can see.

So rifle is ordered, glass, rings and rail is all sorted...

Debating changing the stock from the MTR to something more functional. Possibly a chassis possibly the likes of an XRS..

Open to suggestions or recommendations or if anyone has one they are looking to move.

The MTR stock might go if someone is looking for one :)

Would definitely recommend the Vision as said before.

Spartan Refinishing are UK importers and do cracking cerakote work too.

What glass etc you go for? I'm very tempted to buy a 457 at some point once my wife's forgotten about the new rifle I just bought 😅

The vision is a beauty although I don't want to put that much into it at the moment.

I got a Strike Eagle 5-25 FFP. Looking forward to getting it assembled!

So the MTR is tricked out with an Area 419 30MOA Rail, Tier One Rings, Strike Eagle FFP, i have a Petes Pillars extended mag release and Timney arriving this week.

Still looking for suggestions for a stock/chassis for it?

Stop it. This thread keeps costing me money! ;)

So it started with a used CZ457MTR .22LR/16".

Just received the 15MOA rail and 12" Universal ARCA rail from Area419. Direct purchase, as I couldn't find the scope rail in stock in the UK.

If any one is going to do the ARCA rail, take your time with counterboring the stock for the tee nuts. And get some high quality IMPERIAL Allen keys. Leave the stock off for a few days, and keep snugging up the bolts as the tee nuts settle.

I reckon I'll follow @jcampbellsmith and get Nobby to do the cheekpiece work on the stock. Saves the cost of the chassis, at least initially.

YoDave trigger and firing pin springs on their way.

Now trying to decide on scope, Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-16x44 FFP looking favourite at the moment.

Im running a Harris with a Picatinny adaptor at the moment. ARCA will probably be added down the line. Assuming the stock or chassis is changed. Im not normally a wood guy but the MTR stock is a beauty so im reluctant to drill into it.

I will also need an arca adaptor for the harris so im in no rush for it :)

I looked at adaptors, but buying an Arca bipod was cheaper.
