I got ambitious and tried to get too close. As long as I keep it about fifty feet away it doesn't seem to bother them. I can zoom in and out though, so there's no excuse not to stay well clear

Anyone else fly them? I thought it might be a handy way of keeping an eye on deer numbers on my patch. Any tips, hints, or advice anyone can offer would be appreciated

Don't fly them over people's private property because they are incredibly annoying.

As a heads up this wonderful government has tightened up drone regulations as of New Year so make sure you check the rules on the FAA site.

I think the rules have been tightened up now and you require an operators licence as well as pass an online test on the FAA site, using a drone without these is illegal.

But both of those are a formality and at low-cost - £14 if I remember correctly.
