i’ll have to ask mate. i know it’s all genuine kit that’s all he ever uses and buys, he has checked all the bits like supply linkage and all that
it works ok when it’s working

I have the later Drone with colour screen. Probably once a year I loose the picture and just get a blue screen. This is down to the connector for the screen - simply remove the 4 Allen screws around the rear eyepiece to reveal the connector; disconnect it and reconnect it to resolve the blue screen issue.
It’s possible your viewfinder issue is a similar connection problem.

Could I ask the calibre it's used on, and has he had it from new ?
Reason being is I spoke to Kev at the shooting show a few years back and he said that the biggest issue was recoil shaking something inside loose, when I said I'd had mine from new an it'd only ever been on my 223 he said that he'd be surprised if I'd ever have a problem with it.

Hi Jimmy

its on a blaser 222, he got it new from carl just before they pulled the plug on the drone, to be honest its been faultless and he shoots very well with it, wouldn’t say its seen any recoil to be honest with a 222 and he looks after his gear, so its a bolt out of the blue for him really

As Jimmy said, it is usually the connector that connects the screen to the main board. Should be a simple case of unscrewing the four bolts that face the shooter to get the eyepiece off and then pushing the screen connector back onto the mainboard again, some people tape or glue it back on.

My drone is on a 204R, I don’t think it’s always recoil related. The Drone isn’t sealed and I’ve often wondered if it’s condensation/moisture related. Either way, for the blue screen issue at least, it’s an easy fix.

In 2017 spoke with the Guy that sold Drones at the shooting show when it was at Stoneleigh NAC (forget his name) he told me they were only rated up to .308 (which was unfortunate as I wanted it on 30.06 for Boar.

It sits on a .243 no problem.

Someone on here though told me had a DP on a 7mm 08 without any issues .
