Evening all, just wondered if there are any dsc1 courses in the Lancashire area as they all seem to be miles from me cheers In advance walshy
 
wellcome mate if me and you save up we can flit to somewhere thats got deer near it and we will do dsc1 together its a bloody waste land around here, doug,
 
is that the chap weeman was on about a few months ago mark, if it is i think hes moved or something,not to sure, walshy try aaron hes in clitheroe he might know let us know how you get on,

BDS will be running another training course near Carnforth should there be enough people interested.
 
Just spoke to John he needs about 7 off us to book a date I've got his number if u pm I'll give you some details I got off him atb walshy and he's in clitheroe area

Laurie Walton Thirlmere you could do your DSC1 with Laurie and go out with his son Alisdair and shoot a Red for your Lev 2 if you are fit enough for the Cumbria mountains. PM me if you want his number.

Wasteland, Lancashire. I'v seen a few recently and regularly do but the land around my permission is manly duchy land so it maybe helping. That or I have a really good wildlife officer in my area. Plus both times iv seen something its been under the lamp foxing, or skipping down the road, so no use at the time anyway. Iv seen a red recently on land I have in Cumbria as well, but as I don't have the means to cart it off the hill or the freezer space, it was left as if I can't use and still have stuff in the freezer, I will not shoot it, the first time iv gone hum if I had my DSC stuff done and took it to a local dealer moment.

Im away next month back mid august, as iv got another trip over sea's. I should be good for any dates after that. Redmist you should really pm me you number & sort out that brew when I'm back.

I shall call BDS on my return to lodge interest!
 
Hi guys, I know its an old thread but did anyone manage to get a DSC1 course in Lancashire? I'm up for it but they are all a long way away from Burnley from what I can find. Is it a case of doing lots of reading then eventually going in directly for the "exam" or is all the work done on the course?
 
I also live in lancs and it's has been difficult, I have registered and paid twice with the BDS and both courses was cancelled due to the number of candidates, thus I now have one booked via a third party in the Scottish boarders, this is 2-1/2 hours and staying overnight in a hotel, agreed not the best, but I needed to move this forward. I do agree if we all register interest the BDS will run the course in that area.
 
Hopefully im sorted this month but if you can get half a dozen together ,i think arron still has the number or details for dsc1,s around the clitheroe area,hope you get sorted, its took me eighteen months to get anywhere,atb doug,:thumb:
