I’ve been granted the cost of the DSC2 registration by the forestry fund!

Is there a better organisation (BASC, BDS etc) to register with or will the assessor play a more important role?

You’d better move fast - the money has to be spent in-year, ie 31 Mar 24! Doing my NPTC assessment next week following 2 chainsaw courses and I thought I was cutting it fine…….

What, with a chainsaw? You need 3 courses to do that, it’s an advanced skill!

The forestry fund will send you an email stating that BDS have banked your money and if this is the case I see no reason why you would have to complete the DSC2 by the end of March 2024, but I stand or crouch waiting to be corrected !!

The fund is only paying for the dsc 2 registration, their money isn’t stretching for the assessment fees unfortunately. I’ve emailed the BDS with the reference number to get registered
