DSC2 registration, onefile, keychain???

I have been having problems also logging in and getting the run around re password resets. I am a dinosaur 🦖 so I have not been on for a few months since I added my EFAW and F certificate.

So I just gave up!!!

Tried again having read the thread and I am back up and running……….🏃 superb!

Good luck guys from Rookandrabbit aka Mr Dinosaur!🦖🦖🦖☄️

Thanks. I don't know the ins and outs of this, but if the IT systems backing up DSC2 are so poor that people are finding it a barrier and also some asking for refunds then clearly there is a key issue to be sorted out for us all. I will raise this with colleagues in the morning.
Thanks for the reply Conor and Jo has also been fantastic, however this system appears very gimmicky, no real need for it. I'm sure the person who suggested it thought it was a good idea, but you have invested in a system that has little if any support and has created more problems than the one that didn't require solving

I have looked into it with colleagues and at the beginning of May, One File introduced a new thing where by upon logging in candidates would have to create a Keychain password. This is an extra layer of security for OneFile. To assist those registered for DSC2 we created step by step instructions, along with screenshots, which were sent out with the candidates username and password. Most people have not had issues with the new security level but a few have had issues getting set up and we can help people with that.

I've just done mine and would've given up if I hadn't had the wife available to make the stupid onefile thing work, even the pdf forms they provide are a bit rubbish, she fixed mine so I could actually see what I'd written in the boxes. I tried emailing basc and onefile with no success but luckily she came to my rescue. I'm very pleased it's done, I'll avoid anytjing to do with onefile like the plague from now on

So far that has not been the case. To date I've had three passwords all of which have been denied, I have had no password resets sent from onefile. I'm no technophobe conor, but this system is weak, and support from onefile non existent. BDS use the same set up so thats me not doing DSC2.
And regarding the refund, as BASC?Onefile are unable to deliver, I have to wait until someone gets back from holiday

@angel eyes , try a different email address,my hotmail address wouldn't let me progress, I've opened up a gmail account and managed to get on the system.

  • Open the onefile link
  • Click on create keychain
  • Enter email address and create password
  • You will hopefully be sent an email, which doesn't have a link as it says it does
  • Go back to the log in page and log in with the email/password
  • Click on settings (cog) then the drop down menu should have account settings
  • Click add account
  • Enter the user name and password BASC sent you
  • You should have access

I hope you get sorted in the end, and I appreciate you are having a very frustrating experience with this, and I know that BASC staff will help you as much as they can getting sorted. I have been in touch with everyone about this.
