Dumb ways to die...

I was just called and informed by my pal that the nice RFD chap in Freiburg Germany that sold me my 7x57 Ruger #1 last year had dropped dead at their local range with a pulmonary embolism three days ago. He did not smoke and drunk very little was only 57 years old and was middle into moving his shop into bigger just all secured premises for the 1,000s of items he had.

I managed to bring someone back from the brink who was drowning in the past … not a nice experience at all!

Without a defibrillator, the odds are indeed very much against success.

it is also exhausting to do CPR for any length of time and brutal on your knees.

Part of the reason why after my third EFAW+F refresher I bought one of these that I keep in the car and transfer to the quad when out shooting.

Answers:

• I hope not to try - family has been trained on use and I brief my trainees (all now also required to have EFAW or Army Medic quals)
• Yes, as that's the non-replaceable battery "conservative life" - I will receive a replacement unit near that date
• They are wonderful things Those are my "working" crocs - typing this wearing my cammo ones

I forgot to say it has an inbuilt SIM and reports battery life and storage conditions routinely back to "home" so it's condition is remotely monitored. Each month I receive a status report:



I do wonder what would happen if the temp is outside of their parameters - would they decline to replace early if the battery is low. It's new to market and we are a way off finding but so far so good..................
