Wanted: Emberleaf cael

i’ve been using a Danum stalker for a while now on fallow and it’s proved better on those than the Cael and stayed very sharp indeed, sussex steve mentions the Revenant which again is a real hardworking blade
I had to send my cael back for a re fettle due to a ripple on the edge, since then i haven’t used it on or near any bone and it’s stayed super sharp
For fallow I’d go for either the Danum or Revenant

Emberleaf Garron V1 is perfect for fallow
Cael without a doubt a decent blade but from experience another degree of grind on the blade would be beneficial, I split the sternum post a field gralloch with my Danum and did with the cael you can’t do that with the original grind, unless I was unlucky with mine

Look at a knife from Peter Eaton.
I have a Cael that never gets used, as Overlay says.
Over the years I have tried most knives, and I pretty much always return to Peter.
Silly silly sharp, truly beautiful craftsmanship and superior materials and stunning leather work on the sheaths.
Even if you only speak to him to get an understanding of exactly what he does and what he can do for you.
He is a true gent, and won’t be offended if you don’t buy one of his rare knives, and I say rare because he doesn’t make 100s of knives a year, each knives is hand finished from the blade to the handle….
