Eternal 12g lever action. (Custom)

Fully UK compliant, Sec 1 FAC, 13inch barrel, 5 shot, (4 in mag)

I had the action redressed and the loading port opened up by Andy Haines at Master Class Custom Guns. Also added the para cord to lever to help protect fingers a bit.

Great fun gun to shoot, always get questions about it wherever I go with it (as you can imagine)

There is some marks on the stock from my shotgun caddy belt, I shall upload them when I get a chance.

Any questions just ask. £600

  • Section 1 Shotguns, these are either: Martini, Bolt, Lever or Break action (excl. pump/semi) etc shotguns shorter than 24" Barrel/40" Length, Or any shotgun with >24" Barrel/>40" Length (so including semi and pump) with either A) a removable magazine, B) A fixed magazine capable of holding more than 2 of the chambered calibre.

How is it Legal with such a short barrel? 24" minimum? Shotgun.

BC.
All guns are legal in the UK. However some are effectively "prohibited" by their being under s5 rather than the more easily available s1 or s2. But there are no banned guns as such. Just licences that usually won't be granted to members of the public except in certain circumstances.

With regard to a shotgun with a barrel under 24" but over 12" they are s1 unless pump action or self-loading or a revolver gun aka the Stryker (regardless of magazine capacity) in which case they are s5. Or if pump action or self-loading despite having a barrel over 24" are under 39" overall such as a bullpup Mossberg.

Anything under 24" but over 12" that is not pump action, self-loading or a revolver gun is s1. But ANY AND ALL if overall length is under 24" as a small firearm. Hope it helps and I might be wrong on some of the detail but FWIW a lever action with barrel over 12" and overall length over 24" will be s1.

However note that short barrel side by side shot pistols such as the old Tuckaway can be held under on an FAC as s1 despite being s5 if not held on an FAC.

I have had one of the Colin Greenwood designed FEG 20" barrel, sighted, side by side 12 bores and that did shoot rifles slug quite well. I've also have a 20" barrel ex RIC Winchester '97 and ex Tom Collins from the auction sale of his deceased estate a 21" barrel Winchester 1912...and never did get that to fire even a shot! But what back in the day some hankered after and I only got as close as just handling as it was too expensive was the High Standard Model 10B. Here's also the short lived Mossberg 500 a decade or so later.

I got an fq the other week, (same gun) great for crow bashing and practical 🤙

It’s just the same as any other fac shotgun, you could buy an m2, typhoon or one of these!

I don't think any of us have to " justify" anything to obtain a grant.
The only asks for a good reason.
There is a difference!

In fact, if one feels they need a justification they should not be owning any firearm there on in!

Id say Fac due to the mag allowing 4 cartridges
Yes its FAC

I had the FQ and I wouldn't cycle correctly, after alot of fighting with the supplier they eventually took it back. I bought this one "Eternal" and it didnt have any issues at all. They are as you say the same gun though and prob made in same factory!
I was wondering how you would justify the variation. Conditioned for practical shotgun?
I have it for practical but I request all disciplines on all my shotguns so I can use them for clays and quarry etc. There's never been any issues.

Yes mines had the chamber opened up and lots of mods, it occasionally Jams but I think that’s me trying to slap 13 shots out of it in the fastest time possible 🤣

It’s defiantly the most fun I’ve had with a shotgun. Can’t wait to take it on the clays with the lads, 13 shot sporting pairs anyone? 👀👀

I shall be driving down to Windsor on the 5th of April if its close enough for face to face if wanted.
