Ethical Veganism

So it would appear that ethical veganism has been declared a philosophical belief by Judge Robin Postle in the case of Jordi Casamitjana.

Ethical veganism is philosophical belief - judge

This affords it protection under the Equality Act 2010, so the question is how can we get our sport / lifestyle considered in the same way, and thus afforded the same protection?

I would love to hear anyone's thoughts on how our representing bodies could tackle this.

It just so happens I watched 'Hail Satan' on Netfix last night. Most entertaining satirical mockumentary & presents a tongue-in-cheek blueprint for making less popular beliefs more mainstream. Worth a look if you enjoy a sense of the ridiculous & a parable for these times.

To my mind Vegan equals certifiable but it really doesn't matter because if they forget to take the supplements they will probably perish anyway. More particularly they have control of lots of media like MSN who proudly announced yesterday that Britain has turned its back on red meat.
Who are these born again vegans but a mere 1% of the population ?
Their 'by-products' are uniquely offensive to normal people and would, volumetrically speaking, easily challenge a good sized cow fed on what it has evolved to consume.
Still, BASC has a media centre and the 'Taste of Game' - wooo hoooo.

In about 100 years kids would be learning about the correlation between Dinosaurs and Vegans and what caused their extinction.

I don’t see why with that precedent you couldn’t get hunting and foraging protected in the same way.
I don’t have much time for the holier than thou attitude of some (most I’ve met) vegans. So why not play them at their own game.
We have far more history of our chosen way of life than veganism for a start.

I see no difference between this and believing in sky faeries so it's as much a philosophical belief as god bothering.

This guy doesn't just do the vegan diet thing, it's way beyond that.

But so is our shooting. The etiquette ceremony even of a shoot day. Some people don’t touch anything they haven’t shot themselves or grow/picked etc.
It is too good an opportunity to waste, and wouldn’t it just backfire on LAC’s if they are behind it.

They won't, that would involve being pro-active, nice snippet in the shooting times about how the mayor of liverpool knowingly banned the shooting show and lost the city £5 million, if the anti's knew of a gaff like that but with shooting as the culprit it would be all over the internet, unfortunately none of the shooting orgs do social media. Why not pay for full page news adverts telling people about things like this

In all seriousness I would hold-fire on celebrating this ruling as signifying an oppertunity to place our way of life on similar footing as I'm convinced it will be overturned in a higher court.

Either way it works for us. If overturned he and his ilk can’t play the “hate crime” card. If it isn’t we have case law to back up any claim to have our lifestyle deemed a belief.
I have just had a peruse of the legal guidance for employers about religion and beliefs. So you don’t discriminate against them in the workplace. It would appear that the definition fits how I and many other “shooting men” I know think and live.

I keep hearing how vegans only 1% of population they be gone shortly....🤔

If only 1% maybe we should be taking lessons from them in propaganda / social media etc

Because it’s all you bloody hear these days!

Vegans and the antis ....Chris packham etc

We could learn from them in how to play the media / social media game ....

They play it better than we do that’s for sure !

Anybody know what percentage hunters are of population

?

Look at all this plastic thats being used and thrown away not just on vegans i know but ? 1578136306982.png 1578136350258.png and all so we can have small bananas/red tomatoes/peppers/onions that are perfect in shape colour and size, why because they sell better!and quicker. now wouldn,t that look a lot better if it was re-covered in rolling fields/forests and of course all the wildlife that goes with it. even the ones we eat. and iknow its never going to happen in my or my grandkids lifetime why because its BIG BUSINESS. we are all fooked live with it.
