Evening all! I've been a lurker for a while, and there is some really great info on here. I've stalked deer for about 7 years, but don't get out anywhere near as often as I'd like (who does?!) and that's something I'd like to put right. Most of my stalking has been roe and fallow, I've been out after muntjac and reds but never successfully. I learned with a 270 Win, I have done nearly all of my stalking with a 6.5x55, and I am now looking for a 7x57. I have a vacant slot for a 30-06 which I may or may not fill. I applied for it thinking I might want to shoot boar some day. My other love is one man and his dog roughshooting.
