Factory 22 creedmoor

Not that I know of, I looked into one a little while ago but ended up going in a different direction.
Hornady and nosler are both making it and supply the UK, it might be worth having a chat with your local RFD to see if they deal with either and seeing if they can get it.

I'm also not aware of any factory loads here in the UK.
I handload for my upcoming 22 Creedmoor.
As a hand loader, I don't even bother with factory loads, but then again, I do seem to choose rifles with limited or no factory availability here! 🙄
But for me, handloading is just another hobby I enjoy, alongside my shooting.

I'm in the same boat, the lack of factory loads weren't the issue, it was the 1000 round barrell life that put me off.
I went with a 6mm to hopefully get 2000 out of it.

Some of the US shooters are seeing 1600 rounds . I noticed when Hornady claimed the 22Creeds barrel life was expected to be between 800 and 1200 rounds they didn't substantiate their claim . I suspect reloaders will see more by following the lands as they erode , than those useing factory ammo.

The good news is there's both brass and dies available, happy days .

I've seen that some getting closer to 2000 rounds from their 22 Creedmoor because they've not done super hot loads and not long shot strings.
But to be fair, if I do 150 rounds breaking it in and steady load development, worse case scenario I get close to a 1000 shots.
Now, it's not my only rifle and would be for fox and small deer. So, how many shots a month would it get? Likely an average of maybe 10 a month? With other rifles too, that would be a lot of shooting as I work full time.... So that's 8 years comfortable shooting, and that's worse case scenario! If I decide to play more and do the odd target work, I may reduce it to 5 years. But that's 5 years of big grins and plenty of fun. 😊

Plus I won't be bound by the lead ban! Which is my main "excuse" getting one built! 😂
But it will be cheaper to throw lead at foxes and it will by sticking to 6mm and above and having to use monolithics.

You hear of many 22 CM owners (across the pond) that want as fast as they can from a 16 or 18 inch barrel getting 3500+ fps. 😳 They shoot decent shot strings at prairie dogs etc. They also claim to never, or rarely clean the barrels.
These factors combined will see them shooting out their barrels far quicker than the average UK foxing rifle would.
So mine, with its 22" Barrel, won't need to loaded as hot to get good velocity, (my aim is 3250 ish, with 77gr TMK's), plus I clean every time I use my rifles and take care of them. So I'm expecting to get way above 1000 rounds. Either way, shooting out a barrel means you've had a lot of good times and enjoyment!
It's not my only rifle and that will also extend the years of use and fun.
Life's too short not to have a bit of fun 😊😎

I’ll be using it for foxing so not like I’ll be competition shooting sticking couple hundred down it in a day. It should last me a good 5 years at least if I can get 1500-2000 rounds out of it. Currently on a 22.250 t3x super varmint I’m pretty sure its shot out as it just suddenly won’t group its out to 6 inch difference 🤦🏻‍ gun shops sending it to tikka to be check as there could be some other reason but i think it’ll be a rechambering job

Gmk will likely say it's not been cleaned properly or similar, and i doubt it can be rechambered...
How many rounds has the 22.250 done?
Which gunshop are sending it back?
I once had a new tikka 243 that wouldn't group as well as it should (1.5 inches was best), it got sent to gmk and that's the reply I got from them, I was meticulous with cleaning g it and it had only done 60 rounds of various ammo (was trying to find the best for it)...

How many rounds you put through the 22-250?

I was going to go for the 22-250, (another known barrel burner), but to shoot longer, heavier bullets I'd need a faster twist barrel rather than the factory standard 1:14, which really means going the semi custom route. That's when I thought 'what the hell, may as well get the 22 CM and have even more fun!' 😂

If it is shot out, then it's straight forward enough for a gunsmith to rebarrel and rechamber it to 22 Creedmoor 👌

Issue is it looks fine and rifling is in excellent condition so I think gun shops sending it just to be sure there isn’t a fault we can’t see if you get me. I’ve put about 1000 rounds through it but I got it at 2 year old bought as barely used as it was like new. Gun shops just being sure and looking after me so I’ve no problem with that. I’ve got my 6.5 creedmoor so in no massive rush.

At an estimated 0.003" of barrel erosion per 100 rounds the lands will have eroded 0.030" . Presumably you handload , check the lands and redevelop a load starting 0.020" from the lands .

If you decide to go ahead and rebarrel you've an excellent receiver to build on in the T3X .

I had mine built as a precision varminter , 26" barrel means less powder to get the velocity . I'm just finishing the load development .

I'd be wanting to do the same as the yanks! The only difference being I can't have a prefit barrell delivered to my door for $500 and changed it myself.

Mine would be being used as a target rifle and I was looking at having something built with a 26inch barrell.
In my head it would be for occasional use or the odd trip away but I know what I'm like.
I got the 6mm in June last year and intended on keeping it for long distance and the occasional outing. It's had 800 rounds through it already!
It's still grouping surprisingly well even though the rounds are a bit on the spicy sid

And it's a hot rod cartridge that can do that for you, but the trade off is limited barrel life. Anything pushed hard, especially with double based powders, will shorten barrel life, but what fun it is 😎
Yes, it is a shame we can't just switch them out ourselves like the yanks can and get them for the price they can.
