Factory ammo spent case split

Shot a small buck recently which all went fine. Clearing up I noticed the spent case was split. This is a Sellier & Bellot 6.5 x 55 , 120 gn TXRG

Been using these for around 2 years with no issues. Anyone seen anything similar.?

Yes. Had a ppu split from top to bottom once.

Have a box of shame in the shop that includes all the major brands and a lot of the cheaper ones
Blown primers, splits, case head separation, misfires, malforms that wont chamber. Etc etc

Happens more than you think.
Its cheap for a reason. (or it should be, i note some S&B prices are through the roof!)
So long as it went bang and not kaboom and whatever you pointed at was hit by the bullet, its done its job

I've had it with brand new Lapua 6.5x384.
22 out of 100 had neck splits and shoulder issues too
I returned them to Lapua.
The report came back saying the brass was tested and a fault in manufacturing.
A new box was sent as apology.
