Farmer beat up

At least a Yorkshire farmer was found not guilty when he shot an intruder in the foot at 2AM the intruder was a regular burglar and claimed him and his accomplish were rabbiting !! I ask were they prosecuted for poaching?

Jesus. So the burglars claim they were armed?? Therefore the police either must have seen fit to give convicted burglars gun licences, or ignored firearms offences, poaching, some sort of armed theft offence? I really can't understand how Stables isn't still in prison.

The CPS probably did this for three reasons?

A. It concerned a gun and we know the official line concerning the removal of as many legally held, as they can?

B. The fear of facing criticism from politicos, press and antis?

C. The knowledge that it's no good pursuing anyone who operates outside of the law because that as we all know achieves nothing?

We really do need a serious appraisal of the current law relating to issues such as self defence but it likely won't happen for reasons we all know?

Got the bike back yesterday! police got hold of two of them, spilled the beans on where it was, we went and collected it yesterday, dumped in the woods in livingston near the M8! no damage.

Fair play to the police on this one, but i suspect the amount of interest in this locally, would have made the bike difficult to move on!

Anyway, decent outcome.

Shocking. Not only because this happened in broad daylight but the police just walk away.
Sad times we live in.

Little bit quick to damn the police there perhaps Basil. Although probably prompted from what an angry CCB wrote initially. Easy to blame the police when something like this happens, when it's actually the CRIMINAL's fault. The police are there and are always easy to take a shot at. But they came up trumps this time anyway.

CCB - brilliant, result!
