No, I'd imagine he definitely means sponsors, as they are the ones who sponsor the prizes for supporters to win.

I don't think the prizes are donated by sponsors.
I may be wrong, but I'm sure I recall seeing a post on here by one of the site owners about it.

No they are paid for by the supporters. Every 3 months i transfer the funds across.
The remainder pays for the Level one course and any left over helps maintain the site.
