Wanted: Feral Goats (Wales)

I’ve got some permission close to Snowdon mountain but reluctant to go as there are so many walkers around and access isn’t great being very exposed to the public, so staying concealed and extraction is almost impossible. Shame as the place is over run with the scruffy buggers.

That’s also an issue, because of this recently people have become aware of them, the goats on the Orme in Llandudno are a little different to the “wild” ones you hear of around Snowdonia but goats all the same. It’s a shame as unless you’ve got ground that seriously out of the way then there isn’t much chance of getting on to them without causing I stir, and to me that isn’t worth losing my cert over.
I have ground in Wales with feral goats. Have taken 4 SD members stalking up there. 3 were successful, 1 was not.
Sometimes the goats are there, and sometimes I go months without seeing them, as they roam far and wide.
This was the result of an outing with my daughter last summer: One each. Actually we got 3, but one fell in a gully and was unrecoverable.
(Now I'm just waiting for the flack about my rifle bolt being closed in the photo!)
