FFP with add on

The scope will work fine Ben if the lenses are compatible with digi NV. So the same kind of thing applies as usual. Vortex tend to be rubbish and anything that doesn't offer low range focus capability will be compromised. High end coatings also might compromise performance but I will assume you are not putting a Zeiss HT or T96 Polar on a .22LR
What you need to consider with FFP is at what magnification you want to use the scope at night and how small the reticle will be on your chosen magnification. At low mag (which for me is preferable with NV add ons as they they tend to not have 1:1 mag ratios themselves) the reticle in a FFP scope can be so fine that the add on might struggle to render a good crosshair for you.
So if the lenses will work with the add on, yes it will work but I would personally opt for a SFP scope mostly. They are more versatile and the way to go unless you absolutely must have a FFP scope for other daytime applications which I imagine is not the case with a .22LR.
Long winded way of saying get a SFP although I did use a FFP Sightron years ago to good effect but the reality is that it wasn't ideal.

I use a Pard007s on all 3 of my scopes, S&B PM2, Arken EP5-25, and Eltech all ffp and all work fine.
As said above the reticle on ffp may be ultra fine so this is your main consideration as you may need to crank mag up to have a usable sized ret.
My PM2 is on 7x with 2x mag on Pard
My Arken is on 8x with 2x mag on Pard
Eltech is on 6x with 2x mag on Pard
Anyone of them can see out last shoot able distances.
Bearing in mind I have old eyes now lol

The only issue you will have with FFP, is that some of them will require re-focusing of the NV when you change the magnification on the day scope.

My Vulpine Mk3 is used on an Element Optics Titan FFP, works brilliantly and the reticle stays in focus throughout the mag range.
The Titan has a nice fine reticle so even at full mag it isn’t too thick.

Absolutely not. If you have illuminated centre dot or cross hair use that as well on a Vulpine, works wonders. Like @Len the dog I use a Titan. Makes the Alpex, C50 etc look very poor in comparison, especially when zoomed in.

No mate not at all. And the ability to zoom without pixelation is godsend.
No mate not at all, once the add on has been setup I don't need to touch it at all, maybe a quick parallax adjustment on the scope but thats about it

The majority of my shooting is foxing at night and I held back from using add ons because I thought they would be as you put it 'a bit of a faff', and difficult to use comfortably. I was wrong! Once set up correctly (pard 007) I find it very comfortable and simple to use.
