Fierce rival - any UK experiences good or bad

Does anyone run a fierce?

I would like a carbon stock, carbon barrel, light weight rifle in 6.5cm that I can also shoot out to 1000. Fierce caught my eye.

Another contender is weatherby 307 alpine CT - any real world reviews?

Thanks!

Build something special

Impact 737r
Pse Evolution
Proof carbon wrapped or Bartlein CWrapped
Decent quality bottom metal and 3/5 round mags

Trigger of choice

May be spendy but it would be special and certainly achieve your goal

Are you going to use it for solely range work?

I was ill advised by a gunsmith that had no experience in stalking and ended up with a rifle that was no good for range work and on the same vein not good for stalking either.

Crossover rifles don’t really “work” as well as a dedicated range/hunting set up.

@Ronin sorted my rifles out for me, just wish I’d have known about him earlier.

Mainly stalking with maybe once a month practicing at distance at home

Hi
I have a Rival in 6.5 PRC very nice stalking rifle extremely accurate I am not sure they are a range gun more a light weight stalking rifle I have a few full custom rifles and the Rival is certainly a match for them.I have a 308 on order.

My experience with Fierce is a couple of years old, so they may have improved in the interim, but I couldn't get on with the stock shape, and thought the level of finish very poor. If you like the look of them, fantastic, but I wouldn't hand over money for one before making a very close inspection or -if you can't see and handle the rifle before buying ut-without receiving solid guarantees that I could return it if dissatisfied.

I handled and shot one at a range in Namibia last year. I liked it very much . It is described as a Sako clone so for that price i would rather have the Sako. So IMO nice rifle but overpriced.

I have a crossover rifle built by @Ronin and it’s grand for stalking and targets so they do exist in principle. Maybe a bit heavy for stalking and a bit light for target work but on the whole I’m delighted with it.

I've got a feirce carbon reaper in 28NOSLER, no complaints shoots great.
I prefer my seekins precision ph2, also cheaper
