First buck from the new plantation.

I decided to visit my new ward with the intention of testing out the High seats that Tim 243 had made and installed for the land owner on his newly planted woodland.
Having met up with Tim i decided to name the seats for future reference they being Top ,Middle.,Woodland, and lastly Bottom ! No shat i hear you say lol.
That done we said what seat we were to use ! I decided Top that gave Tim Middle and Bottom as they are way away of any line of sight.
After settling in deciding what would or could be done to the seat to make it more comfy for a long events in the future it was time to sit back and wait and watch. Rabbits lots of the buggers this gave me time to use the RF on the Hikmicro alpex 4k.
Nothing until a glow in the thermal made me sit up and start doing what I am there for thinking Fox as I didn't expect deer as the Salad is still very low in the tubes.
But I was wrong. A Muntjac doe and spotty kid zipped out and as fast as that they were gone ! Only to pop out a while later this got me thinking 🤔 she has a kid and looked to be pregnant my mind switched to there must be a Buck!
As the light began to fade the Hikmicro came into its own allowing a clear view across the sea of plastic tubes !
And as if by magic out he came on his mission like an arrow towards me this part is only 85 yrds wide so iv got very little time to stop and take the shot ! my plan was I'd let him clear the first ride and take him at 40yrds this done and with my bad impression of a dog bark he stopped he looked up and he was down to the .270.
Happy to have started the roll of protection of this new woodland and taken this buck .
Iam sure there will be many more in the future but the first one taken is something I'll remember as I watch this woodland grow for the time I have left to do so.
My thanks go out to the landowner for allowing me to have this opportunity and thanks to Tim for putting my name in the hat.

Glad it worked out well Paul, I heard the .270 bark (not your version lol) then waited for the text! I marked the card of a fox who came in down wind of me so "next time"
Tim :tiphat:

Great stuff and good to see local stalkers sharing resources etc.
