I have recently obtained my DSC1 qualification and was chomping at the bit to do my first stalk before the end of the year. I was lucky enough to stumble across another writeup recommending Callum ( @ca11um). I contacted him and he answered very quickly. We were able to settle on a date after a quick introductory phone call.
I arrived at his place at 12:00 and after a pleasant cup of coffee and a discussion of the aim of the session we set off to to a site where I was able to shoot a couple of rounds with his 6.5x55. What a lovely rifle/caliber!
We then scouted his permission area for roe deer. I had loads of questions during this time and Callum answered them all very patiently.
We eventually decided on a likely group of deer and after a careful stalk Callum pointed out the target deer. I was thankfully able to drop it with the first shot. Fantastic result and very happy with the progress with the day.
Can’t wait for the next stalk with Callum and I highly recommend his services.
