I too have a pup from a friends litter sired by Django.
She is 9 months old and my first GWP.
I’ve had two labs before her , my current lab bitch is 6 years old.
I’ve shot all my life but only just really got going with my stalking in the last 5 years.
I’m lucky to have a HPR specialist trainer local to me who I’ve been working with on the training.
She is doing well, but more challenging than the labs. The most important thing I’ve picked up on that has worked for me is she has no “free time” now formal training has started (at 6 months old).
She is either walking at heel on or off the lead. Training or In the kennel, or in the house . No letting her run loose!
She has been very receptive to training since doing this.
As for being with family She has also been great with my young children (3 years & 8 months) and is surprisingly chilled in the house .
House training has been difficult and she is VERY vocal when locked up!
