First time with pistols.

I never had a hankering for the pistol thing, I did go to the protests when they were taken away from us though, I have had a "Road to Damascus" experience over the last two training runs in Poland. First ever four rounds I fired using an HSSF 19, gave me four rounds touching, second visit had me aquainting myself with the .45 ACP concealed carry, ( No weiners were at risk during this detail),

Nice. What distance was that.
I had a trip down memory lane with a 1911 at a range in Stockholm last month.

In this far flung part of the UK we still have them. Lots of fun….

I had to take my son to France, Tir-1000 at rue Jeanne d'Arc to legally shoot pistols that...never forget....the TORY GOVERNMENT banned. Michael Howard as Home Secretary assisted by his deputy the oafen lumpish article known as a Widdecombe.

But never too late to remind myself late mother's opinion of Widdecombe. "Look at it! Me? I was married at twenty-one and a War Widow at twenty-three. Anyone who takes lessons in life from a sixty something year old virgin is a fool."

They were desperate to get votes, like any freaking party in the UK. They know no shame who they trample under foot.

I miss pistol shooting and would gladly hunt with a suitable one.
After the ban I had to be content with puny air.

He had a big iron his hip…. Welcome to the world of the pistolero! I always thought of pistol shooting as akin to throwing darts. It’s very difficult to master but a lot of fun trying. My favorites are the .38 Special, .44 Special, .45 Auto, 9 mm. Loads and loads of fun.

Great fun, I used to have a .357 revolver, a 9mm Glock and a .22 semi auto back in the day…. This was from a family trip to the states… phoenix to be precise.

Again, ridiculous U.K. laws that think sticking a 12” coat hanger on the back and adding 6” of barrel will prevent the criminal element from using a hacksaw….🙄

Absolute joke.

I still enjoy shooting pistols but it’s greatly diminished the fun of it.

Welcome to the world of handguns. Lots of fun to target shoot and hunt with.

That said, one opinion on pistols (which I agree with) is that they are only there to allow you time to get to a long gun.

I’ve shot pistols on occasion in this highly regulated country but the most fun I’ve had was with a Webley 22LR revolver. Damn ! It was accurate. A friend of mine shoots 3 gun in Canada. To watch his videos shows just how far behind my skills lag.
