Quick poll please. I'm doing some research into the use of flea products and potential environmental contamination. One of the products is the flea collars that contain organophosphates, they tend to be the older ones and only available in supermarket and petshops (hence the questions).
Your help is appreciated

Please add another category to the survey. Such as online.

I don't know about any of them except Scalibor . Ingredient Deltamethrin. Pyrethroid. Good against fleas, ticks, sand-flies and suggested even maybe heartworm.

Recommended by my vet, , I used to travel widely with the dogs, even as far a Morocco, but its poisonous to cats.

Seresto alternative, Imidacloprid (a noenicitinoid) and Flumethrin (another permethrin). Supposed to be safe for cats.

None of these are organophosphates.

I'm not sure what these things are that you can buy in petshops or supermarkets, or poundland Never seen any collars, just spot-on drops that seem to be made from nowadays' ineffective stuff. I walk past those aisles.

Buy my Scalibors online, as I can with Seresto. Vet would charge maybe £25 (lasts six months), likewise Seresto, a bit more. But suggested I go online to get a better deal, no profit in it for him from his supplier. An honest vet !!!

Rats, forgot about online. Can't seem to edit. So if you have bought an OP collar (diazinon or dimpylate) online, put online in the replies please. I don't think many are available now, but was curious.
