foo fighters

Tragic loss of a great talent. I was lucky enough to see them play in Belfast in 2019, it was an awesome show.

No sympathy...10 different drugs found in his system.....no symphony either.
I doubt anyones asking for your sympathy.

Careful you don't fall off that high horse of yours though.

I struggle to understand why some self rightous types feel the need to come on a thread about someone dying with negative comments.
Probably folk with little understanding of addiction issues I suspect.

Was surprised myself have to say

Have been lucky enough to see the foo fighters 4 times over the years, first time when they were a support band for the prodigy, very sad loss of a talented guy and he leaves behind a wife and daughters. Very sad. I expect touring has its toll and I guess the drug use is used to ease the burden…right or wrong it’s still an awful loss,

The foo fighters have never done a bad gig that I have seen and a true band that continued to play when Dave Grohl broke his leg…that’s a true committed band.

RIP Taylor Hawkins.

Regards,
Gixer

Just to add - Making shi**y comments about someone dying is a new low….we, as a group should recognise that media reporting is not all it seems - you could check my system today and probably find 3 drugs, all legitimate. Take any over the counter cough medicine or sleep aid and you’ll probably find 4 different drugs.

Regards,
Gixer

You may have already seen them, but there are some videos on YouTube of their last gig at Lullapolooza at the end of last week, very poignant.

Must admit like many others here been lucky to see them quite a few times, i think twice at T althou pretty hazy.
Had some great nites out at there gigs.
Even just driving about in my van hard not to crank the radio up when 1 of there songs comes on and a bit of steering wheel drumming.

A great band if u like that music

But even if u don't like there music if u listen to there interviews and the way they behave just a bunch of stand up guys living there dream.
When u hear almost everyone that has interviewed the band they are pretty much widely reguarded as the nicest folk u'll ever meet, rock band or not.

Did dave (the lead singer) not fall of a stage/speaker in Oslo?/scandi somewhere and play on the rest of the gig with a broken leg before going to hospital, then apologised and put on another free gig to make up for it.
Not many bands would do that

So why u put a negative post on something like this is beyond me,
I was always taught if u cant say owt positive say nowt.
To be fair i'm not usually 1 to post on RIP threads, don't really see the point but equally i would never post owt negative on 1 even less of a point

I saw the Foos one time way back in probably 2002ish at the old Carling Academy in Birmingham, not a very big venue at all, but they still played it like it was a stadium with stadium volumes so you felt it rather than heard it. Most awesome song was when Dave put his guitar on a stand and there was both Dave and Travis playing drums at the same time…I cannot remember which track it was but I think it was from The Colour and the shape album.
