Completely wrong, wasn’t a 45 mag! But I do know it was his classic cylinder/drum revolver with no need to cock on each shot.

Sorry Steve but none of your modern plastic fantastic pistols would appear under my Christmas tree.

My simple dream would be to return to something like the old days when you could go to the range of an evening once or twice a week with your .22 pistol and shoot 3 or 4 competition cards then go for a pint and talk man crap with your shooting buddies. I'd love to have something more traditional like a Hammerli X-Esse or even my old Browning Match/Match150. I wouldn't want a more modern competition pistol which would be more competitive as my eyesight isn't up to competing seriously now. But the simple harmless pleasure of shooting at county level events would suit me.

I do, but only once every few years when I visit my son in Georgia.

Goes something like this. Glock 9mm, Springfield Armoury TRP 1911 45 ACP, S&W 44 Magnum, AR15 5.56.

Usually go to the range at Georgia Gun Club.
