I remember reading someone’s experiences with wet belts going on a Ford recently?
The Mrs is looking at a new vehicle and has found a 2020 ranger (Wildtrak 2.0 EcoBlue 213 Auto) she’s sending muggins here to look at.
It’s done 46k.
I’ve looked online and some conflicting info on belts but some vehemently saying the ecoblue 2 has issues with a wet belt? Anyone with personal experience?

Get a D-Max CAM CHAIN :old: ;)

Can’t comment on the 2lt Eco blue mate has one no issue I’ve a 2016 2.2 bought brand new done 50k never missed a beat apart for oil seals change £50 believe is cam chain good for 100k by all accounts nearly all vehicles will have some issues at some point that’s just the way it is now wish I still had my B2500 much nicer drive than the Ranger

Don’t touch with a shitty stick!
USA had a recall on commercials but not enough kicked off here yet to get it in place.
Know of a transit fail at 18000 & my dog handlers failed at not much more. She paid a few grand to get fixed in Bristol as over a month for any Ford assistance & was losing work being off road

if it is the inginuim engine then it is reported to have major issues and Ford are only now starting to do anything about it due to the alleged amount of favours.
From what I have seen… I wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole.
