This is the only niggle I have had in 4 years, work has been very local also other journeys shopping stalking taking dogs out so a spanner light came on an Kev the mechanic said right away "bet you are doing a lot of short trips" YES!
The with re-gen cycle it needs a good run to get hot and work, so oil/filter change and a reset. most of my stalking is local but the 50mile round trip once a week will be fine he said.
My 2019 1900cc I did the discs/pads as there was a "hot spot fault" nice simple multi plate to adjust the front hubs and a window in the rear back plate to adjust the shoes as all self adjusters never work, couple of clicks handbrake good drums working fine.
Also I grease the props 3 times a year if they need it or not.
@Tim.243 are you still looking for a Ranger? I am looking to change to an XC60 as I have no need for a serious off-roader now, so could part with mine.
110k on the clock, wet belt replaced last year and had a brand new gearbox fitted by Ford last year at a cost of £7.5k so it drives perfectly!
