Fox & Poke Net questions and advice.

In order to expand my knowledge about net making and the stock of nets I would like to tie (And hopefully/eventually sell through a web site I hope to design and build) I would like to ask a few of the "more learned" amongst you a couple of questions.

Firstly Fox Net questions: I am currently using what the seller (netmaker2 on e-bay - Barry who is a very helpful and reliable seller) has described as 10 - 11z spun polyester for my Rabbit Purse Nets, which is a good, strong and easy "twine" to use along with 3mm Paracord for the draw strings and 150mm plastic ground pegs. As I have no experience of Fox Nets would this diameter twine be sufficient along with 3mm Paracord Draw Strings for Fox Nets or should I use something thicker and stronger, and if so what size/diameter twine and draw cords would be the best to use? Also would the Ground Pegs need to be larger and/or stronger please. From what I have seen and read a Fox Net should be 6 foot long and "maybe" around 20 meshes wide (Depending on the size of mesh, I was thinking along the lines of a 2.5 inch spacer or could I go a bit larger? Does this sound about the right size and spec for a descent Fox Net please?
Edit: One more question I forgot to ask about Fox Nets ;- I have always been of the belief that (to a certain extent) Rabbits are "colour blind" so it makes no difference what colour Purse Nets are, especially with a good ferret up their a**e, would it be reasonable to thing the same about Fox Nets?

Secondly Poke Nets: Once again I have never used Poke Nets (Nor seen or handled any) so do you guys think that there might be a reasonable call and need for them if they were tied (For instance) at 5 feet long with the same Twine and Draw Cord or would most people still prefer to use a descent 4 foot purse net. If the size I mention (5 feet long and pegged at both ends) is not thought to be sufficient then what size would you guys suggest tying them at please?

I appreciate your help, suggestions and thoughts! :thumb:

The guy I used to buy nets from made them in a range of sizes and charged per foot, most fox nets I have are 6ft but also have a fair few 7ft, the longer ones come in handy sometimes when netting in dykes or under tree stumps etc. Likewise for poke and purse nets. Braided nylon are good too

When you say Braided Nylon for Fox Nets would also be good are you referring just to the Draw Cord or having the entire Fox Net made from Braided Nylon please (And if so what size of Braided Nylon please) as this could effect the price for both making and selling the Fox Nets?
I would prefer to keep the prices of my nets down as much as possible so as to make them both good quality and just as importantly affordable - I'm not out to make my "first million", it's simply that I enjoy tying nets and want to cover the costs of the materials I use.

The net mesh is also braided, not sure of the gauge but I'll dig some out and take some pics for you when I get chance
