Hi all,
after some help if possible please,
I've taken ownership of a fox trap/cage, that has seen a lot better days, its been stuck in a hedge for years and run over however many times. rather than spend big money on buying one i thought id be able to salvage this one.
I'm now at the stage where i need to figure out how to activate the trap door via the trigger/step.
i have combed the web and the only one i can find that is similar is the 'pestfix professional dog and fox trap' yet in the pictures it shows no, wire/rope/rod, between the step and trap door that i can see. (also the trap is upside down in the pic online)
www.pestfix.co.uk
does anyone here have this trap and if so could you please show me how the two are attached and how it is triggered.
failing that does anyone have any suggestions for setting up a mechanism, atm im thinking a wire/rod that goes upward from the step, across the top of the cage, and a hook/pin setup on the door. would just like to see any ideas incase there are better ones out there i cannot think of.
heres a few pics of what was left of the trap mid renovation and how its currently looking, i realise i still need a spring for the gate.
thanks in advance
adam
