I recently purchased a Thermion XP 50. I am more than impressed ! I did all the research prior to the purchase, looking through, seeing mounted and handling other makes etc. The fact the 'Thermion' sits on the rifle like any normal day scope is a big plus, though this was not the deciding factor. My previous foxing set-up involved a tubed NV scope, a bit of a lump sat atop the rifle, I wished to get away from having a large, awkward unit. So, the 'Thermion' does it for me, the clarity of detail out to the range you mentioned is excellent. Others will no doubt have their favoured TI scope. Best advice is to do the research. Also consider the InfiRay SAIM units the SCP19 is a budget version at £1150 and the SCT35 is a more advanced version at £2200

Thermion 2 XP50's are exceptional and worth pulling that bit more cash out, the build and features also integrated are very good..
Thermion 2 XQ50 seem to sell out straight away and for the money and features again are very good if you cannot reach to an XP 2.

I desperately want to get a look through the t-captor before parting with that amount of money.
In a recent review the t -ceptor is currently, (alleged to be) the best of the best and probably the most expensive. There are other units out there that will happily do what you want it to do for less money.
Clive Ward is the seller and as to customer services you will have to use the search facility as depending on who you talk to you get polar opposite reviews.
I like the thermion mainly because it is so intuitive to use with the button layout. But I like the t ceptor because I like the best of the best, which I can’t afford.
Nb I don’t own a thermal, I’m still on NV so don’t take my word for anything.

A four way head to head was recently made on the nightvisionforum uk, and the Ward T-Ceptor came out the clear winner, by consensus of those doing the evaluating.
The 55-6 may be the last word, the 55-3 unit as advised above would be the choice of most for your application, I’d venture.

I have the 55-6 and honestly it's just gorgeous to look through.
On 2x zoom it's pretty much the same as a 55-3 on base mag
At 400yrds a lamb laying down looks like a lamb and would be easily shootable with perfect shot placement. A fox at 700 is instantly recognisable. Longest viewing "feat" to report so far is being able to tell the difference between ewes and lambs at 2406yrds (not a typo) these were few week old lambs legit fox sized.
On a 55-3 you get a very usable 24x mag in full screen mode

Whilst not wanting to disagree with reviews.
We compared the Raptor directly with the Rico RL42 and RH50 in black hot mode , the Rico’s up close have a nicer overall image , but the magnification , in target image detail and ability to mag up on the Raptor was night and day difference, it literally blew the Rico units out of the water in this respect at range..
So I’m not sure what settings were used , personally the black hot was much better than white hot in the unit ..
As posted before RH50 vs Raptor , three users viewed this comparison.. my own view is the Raptor target image is much better than the Rico’s..
Three months from now there will be even higher resolution units available and lower pixel pitch .
