Freyr & Devik Moderators

I've just sorted out a variation for a new moderator to replace an ageing ASE Ultra Jet Z Compact on my .308 and I'm looking closely at the F & D Featherweight 269 and Featherweight 196 models. They have advertised suppression levels of 32-38dB and 29-31dB respectively. I plan to use the moderator for stalking and target work. The 196 is smaller and even lighter than the 269 model but I'm wondering if the lower suppression level is acceptable.
So does anyone have experience of these two moderators? I'm especially keen to hear opinions regarding the FW 196.

I have one I recently bought from Ed at Edinburgh Rifles, it’s on a .243, I luv it,
very light, works exceptionally well and it’s very well made, if you wanna see for yourself drop me a pm and we'll sort something

I use the 196 and love it. Possibly slightly less quite than my previous ASE SL5 but still very acceptable.

I believe Cluny Country Store have been appointed sole UK distributors

Another vote for the 196, got one on my .308, it replaced a PES T12 which was as quiet as you can get really. Very impressed

You could also consider buying British - Will at Barton gunworks (just outside Cambridge) manufactures extremely high quality moderators that you would not be at all disappointed with.

I believe these moderators are 100% Al alloy and I prefer the idea of Ti alloy for the hot section.

I love my Barton. The only mod I’ll buy from now on.
