FWA hub question for the house.

Is there a way to get an internet hub access to my house without using phone lines as it is only for when I need it ca. three months per year without having to pay for a twelve month contract? Meaning nine unused months of a dormant hub.

If you have a good mobile signal, you can set your phone up as a router to provide Internet access for other devices that have WiFi.
Be sure you have a good (large gb) data package on your mobile contract.

If you want a "base station" then you can buy a 4G Wireless Router for £45-70 on Amazon. Then you get a 4G SIM with loads of data for about £20 per month (I use Smarty - it is one month contracts payable in advance - stop paying when you don't want it any more.) Means lots of devices can connect and if you go out with your phone other people can still connect. I use it for my "summer office" which hasn't been recommissioned yet because of the b+++++y weather, but I have the SIM waiting and don't start paying until I register it.

I do that now but I only have 8GB and do not want to be wasting 9 months on extra wasted GBs each year on the upgraded offers from O2.
