I would suggest looking at the MegaVR alternative. It takes both Quest controllers, which reduces glitching and aids accuracy. It also allows a custom fit. Additionally, it lets you adjust the weight and its distribution. And it's cheaper.

The Simstock can be adjusted and weighted to replicate the handling of your own gun. If you want a setup that lets you use your gun itself, look at the ClayHunt forums, where you'll find a wide range of interesting DIY solutions. (IMO, there's not much point in using a real gun, especially a rifle, but by all means decide that for yourself.)

Edit: if you have a Blaser R8, GAIM do an adapter for that.
