GAIM shooting simulator - anyone use one (UK)?

Have any of you in the UK bought & used the GAIM simulator with success?
In a rash moment of boredom-induced madness, cos I am stuck at home nursing two broken bones in my right foot, I ordered a GAIM simulator.
Our youngest kid was on about getting a VR headset anyway, so I thought why not?
Well, I really wish I had never heard of the fecking thing cos it's RUBBISH!!
The controller mechanism in the trigger unit just won't pair with the VR controller as it is meant to.
The instructions bear no resemblance to reality - they even get the colour of the LED unit in the controller wrong.
It's incredible but you have to remove the whole trigger unit from the rifle stock to be able to check if the LED is working - talk about a design flaw!!

To be fair in one regard, the customer service team were way better than I had hoped for, they even sent me a new trigger unit to try out - but it didn't work either ffs.

However, I hate to admit defeat.
So, before I send it back to Sweden on Monday, I'll give it one more try.
So, can anyone on this site AND in the UK tell me that they got their GAIM system working and exactly how they accomplished the magic please.

Thanks in advance

BTW, I emphasise users in the UK not out of some sort of weird techno-xenophobia but because any good reviews I've read, or reports of success, seem to be exclusively from Swedish or German users.
Most (all?) poor reviews seem to be from everywhere except the two nations mentioned above.
I would just like to find out if anyone in the UK got a GAIM simulator to work AND knows how they did it, did it keep working or do you have to reset the fecking thing each & every time you switch it off/on?

Having just bought this and had an email demanding £155 in import duty🫣
I’m watching this thread with interest 😬

Have owned one for the last 18 months and so far have been having fun with the GAIM VR set. They have recently released a pistol version for further simulation and Gen 2 trigger. Also I believe multi player has been included on some of the simulations.

To get it paired, I do remember having to do it via the GAIM app either on your phone or iPad and add it as an accessory via Bluetooth pairing. I have Gen1 trigger. You may need to delete the accessory first via the VR headset before attempting this. I did have the issue and it appears that there was a bug in the system when it was released. Not sure if the same issue exist for Gen2. I was told not to do it via the VR Headset and it worked. Also sometimes if you leave it for too long the CR2032 runs out, again possibly an issue with the old trigger unit. At least for me the last few months have been troublefree but I do play with it only every few weeks.

You will get over the charm fairly soon but it is something that you can get out of the cupboard every few weeks to have a go at, based on what simulations you have bought.

I have it and it’s a great bit of kit to practice driven boar and the likes. It gives you analytics too so it’a good training aid for clays/birds

Finally got the Gen1 trigger unit paired, and then they sent me another one because I had so much trouble with the original unit, which was nice of them.
So now I have two working triggers
I used to play the games pretty much every evening, but haven't so much of late
But as the longer nights are back I reckon I'll take it up again - it's addictive

Worth getting the pistol grip in that case so that you can use the other Gen 1 trigger for something more fun.

Did you ever get the chance to play the 'Bear Hunting' before they upgraded it? The previous version had grizzly bears charging towards you and was the only one where you could end up getting killed. The first time it happened, I almost jumped out of my seat as the VR was way too real. Finally got the hang of it, having to look around and shoot at whichever one charged towards you before they upgraded it to make it less scary and the bears mostly passive. At least its good fun and I am yet to try the multi player one.

Aye, the bear one is good, it took me very much by surprise too - had quite a jump when the brown bear got me, wasn't expecting that
