Gamekeepers v Poachers

I have just come across this video which I found quite interesting about how the older keepers would deal with poachers and pests. Much is the pity these "methods of dealing with poachers" have been outlawed nowadays, they might make the pikeys think twice:

Thanks for sharing ,, never seen that guy before , interesting chap indeed with a collection like a museum 👍👍

I get the impression he has some empathy for the poachers of times past, they must have been really hungry times that a man would risk life and limb for a meal.

Quite an assumption you make there!

All for the person who feeds their family and thumbs their nose at the aristocracy...

Many such enterprising and daring people moved to the colonies either of their own volition or being deported to the USA, Canada, Australia, NZ etc. and Britain is poorer for it... not even 'Great' anymore!

Not so much an assumption but a statement aimed at the pikeys and those that have a total disregard for other people's property and the damage they do while they treat their poaching as a "sport", unlike the poachers of old who were trying to feed their family and went about their "business" with respect for the land they were on!
