You have obviously not searched the massive resource that SD forum provides and read my post:Has anyone bought garmin tracker from pecheur.com They have the mini in stock,do they work ok here (they are in France) any problems getting U.K. Maps etc

Paul/@redstag01Does the Alpha 200i with TT collars work? According to Garmin UK they don't sell the TT collars in th UK and they won't work?
I think it's a Garmin UK policy not to sell in UK as I was told its against the law. When I pointed out it isn't they quickly changed tact to said its because of the transmitted frequency.
They would not contact Garmin USA and the only details I can find are for Garmin UK. I will look on another device for the details!!
Sorry Paul, I missed the TT bit. I think Garmin have decided to stop the sale of TT collars in the UK given Scotland/Wales law changes and England's announced position on shock collars. For tracking collars (single T of K), the key issues is that the devices are set by Garmin to regional frequencies. US-sourced items will work in the UK but they operate in frequencies authorised by OFCOM to other uses (inc emergency services) so are illegal under the wireless telegraphy act. As I stated in post 10, if you secure CE versions, there are no issues with these as you can set them to OFCOM approved frequences.Does the Alpha 200i with TT collars work? Thanks, I understand the frequency issue. It may be that I have to get a UK handset and a K5X collar and then get a TT15 from France.Sorry Paul, I missed the TT bit.
