Being delighted with the laminated stock that Gary built for my .308 CZ 557, I booked in the Howa 1500 for the same treatment with a more 'classic' look. I am equally delighted and christened it within a week

Well chuffed and pretty much made to measure. Some might think it is polishing a turd but the rifle was a very good price from Ian Hodge as an ex-display, so even the combined price with bedded stock is still in the ball park of many 'starter' rifles.

I have almost identical stock.
I wanted to be able to do as much work as possible.
I bought a walnut blank off here and asked him to inlet and shape it..
Then I did the stippling, bedding and finishing work/oiling.
Absolutely love it.
