GGG 175g 308 load replica

Hey guys and girls,

I've been on a bit of a journey the last two years trying to figure out a load for my T3X TAC A1. I’ve tried 168g Eldm’s, 180g bergers, 200g Berger, 155g scenar, but with not much luck.
I have just by chance tried a box of 175g GGG with the SMK’s. They shoot lights out and easily sub moa at 100. I’m going to buy a hundred or so for a trip to eskdalemuir next month, but once I’m home I’d like to have a crack at tuning the load even more to my rifle and see how accurate I can get them.

Does anyone know what powder the GGG 175 uses or a close alternative?
I currently have RS50 and N140 available.

To start with pull a bullet and see what type of powder they’re using, cut tubular or spherical.

ggg will use a different powder from any you can buy in tubs, run five over a chronograph and weigh the powder from a pulled round to give your self a ROUGH idea. if the rounds come in around 2600fps in your rifle try p-max internal ballistics to see which powder will give you the velocity you require. you may have to work up with the powder you have.

Thanks mate I’ve chrono’d and you’re quite right it’s sat at 2635 average over 5 shots with ES of 12.

I’ll get a round pulled and weigh the powder and see how it looks. Not heard of the p-max. I’ll have a look into it.

I had good results with the 175 ggg at 900yds at Bisley on Thursday with my 700
