Give it to me!

The truth lol

So I’m Canadian and most international hunts advertised on the market to North Americans are aimed at the Americans.

I just reached out to a fellow in Ireland that quoted me $16500 euros for 2 fallow deer and a couple of goats !!!!

Then I nicely told him that was out of my budget and the opposite end of the $ spectrum to things I have read on here in the “stalking available” forum.

He responded telling me not 1 acre of England was free range hunting and those prices are for ‘shooting’ and reflected 10 years of over production high fenced estates….

So tell me the truth. I’d like to go stalking in England for free range deer!!
I’ll find you a couple of fallow deer & throw in a goat or two (it’ll be tethered as we don’t have any wild ones round here) & I’ll do it for €15000 - plus - I’ll buy you a fish & chip supper afterwards, oh & to complete the experience you can gralloch them too 👍

Seriously, the guy is taking the proverbial & more likely he’s got the fallow in an enclosure for you to shoot - I don’t know anywhere in the UK that breeds fallow, or any other wild deer, just to shoot - he’s talking bollox. Park herds are managed but they’re not bred just for big fat foreigners to take pot shots at from ‘hunting’ blinds! (No offence intended to our American cousins.)

You’d do far worse than contact @sikamalc to see what he can arrange for you.

There's so many estates here in the UK that have a near 100% success rate that are a fraction of that price with better animals available, not to mention our gun laws are easier for over-sea clients that arent bringing there own rifles.

I know the site owner offers a Red and Sika hunt up in the highlands during the rut, and I (think) Its near about that price for two stalkers, but he's been doing it near 40 years and has really catered to be a once in a life time hunt.

Colin recently got Fallow as well as far as I'm aware I'm not sure what he's charging but he's overall a fan favorite.

If you have a planned itinerary for the uk, then post it in the "Deer stalking opportunities" forum and say what you want to hunt. That way people will be able to offer you stalking that fits in with your families plans. There are deer in most parts of the UK. If your not looking for medal class heads, you will get several outings for less than £2k. Unless you are really set on 2 fallow and 2 goats, you could try for a few of the following, muntjac, roe, fallow, sika, Chinese water deer, or red. Cull bucks and stags won't break the bank.

I don’t think I have enough posts here yet to use the “stalking opportunities” yet 🫢

Fallow is my wife’s #1 and would have to be a medal. I would maybe want a medal Roe buck.

Culls and representative bucks would keep us well entertained.

We would plan our itinerary around the hunts. I’m assuming fall is the main season. And would plan according to a stalkers schedule.

Does he have access to good trophy fallow bucks? I'm not saying he's not massively over charging but if it included 2 wild gold medal fallow bucks it wouldn't be so bad. Not many on here could offer that.

I never got that far. And honestly it’d still be out of my budget. If I was focusing (or could afford) for huge fallow no offense but Ireland isn’t at the top.

Ireland isn’t renowned for its big fallow heads, unless you get in to Dublin City Centre lol

Honestly If you want to guarantee a medal UK wouldn't be my first pick, the way the UK operates as a hunting country Is more-so decent heads / memory rather than full blown medals too oversea clients unless Its CWD or muntjac, what is pretty easy to achieve.

Roe deer you could probably get a medal but prime hunting time Is May too July/August, Fallow are either dropped or in velvet that entire time.
Fallow rut the roe are almost 100% lost there antlers as Its december-ish.

UK Is not known for medal fallow at all.

Your problem may be you asked for gold medal fallow and roe at the same time of the year, all within five days with goats and culls thrown in, to keep you occupied.

There are places in England were you can easily get medal head fallow.
