Where are you based? If local I’m happy to demo just how reliable this device is.

Another way around it is linking it to a smartwatch, saves you having to keep pulling the phone out. I went with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 after a bit of research and it works bang on with the app. You can set up a few different screens too, which makes it a lot less hassle than messing with the phone all the time.

Using the phone can be a bit annoying especially if you are changing between nick and the vibration. But generally I leave it on a low nick and have to pull my phone out if my dog decides to chase something to then turn it up.

However I was at the Game fair in July and got to see a prototype of a new handheld for the Pathfinder. It would show direction and distance of the dog and make it easier to switch between the stimulations. Not sure when it's due for release but looks like a really good solution which I'm looking forward to.

Not sure if Dogtra are willing to put more details out at the moment? But from what I saw it looked like something along the lines of a Garmin Alpha 10.

It's not something we are likely to see until around this time next year. The great thing is that the existing Pathfinder 2 collars will be backwards compatible with the new handset.
Good to hear it's still coming along, the collar and the app are perfect. The new handheld would make it that bit more convenient. 👍
