Gralloching/Skinning cradle

Stainless steel versions are also available and easier to keep clean - please don’t think I’m raining on your efforts 👍🏻

it cost £0 to knock up, I will swap the OSB for treated 2x2 though, next project is a long heavy duty gambrel

I have a beam in the garage that has served well so far, but the cradle is quite handy with larger species sometimes

For years i faffed about with bits of string, canvas and timber, in fact anything I could utilise, now I use a Donnington deer cradle they do a stainless cradle without the wheels and it folds up, it goes in the back of a jimny with ease and will do everything from a fallow buck down to a muntjac, for muntjac I made a very tidy folding galvanised mesh insert so it doesn’t fall through the bars, it gets used for inspection, gralloch, skinning and taking the bits off, I had 2 for the larder on fallow until we got a hoist, sold one and kept one and glad I did it will last for years worth the initial outlay, every stalker should have one in the motor, nothing on the ground again 👍

what we need is someone on here who could make them at a reasonable cost, it would be brilliant for everyone, if I could bend stainless pipe and weld stainless metals I would be on it, probably thev two things I’m useless at, even my brother told me not to take up welding as a hobby let alone as a job 🤣🤣🤣

Yep
As far as I know, Dave I hope / think is still recovering but the family are keeping things going
